The present volume (Chapters ) starts with a discussion on feedback and dynamic stabilization using parametric and other effects. It then treats nonlinear effects and laserplasma systems. One chapter is devoted to applications and use of instabilities. It concludes with a report on plasma waves and instabilities in cosmic space.
A Plasma instability is a region where turbulence occurs due to changes in the characteristics of a plasma (eg. temperature, density, electric fields, magneti fields).
As the name suggests, instabilities are unstable, though they may appear to evolve through different forms (morphology).

In many cases, a plasma can be treated as a fluid.
